Just wanted to give a little shout out to our friends at Emergent Group. Jesse, Jayson, Chris, Jared and Greg were selected as finalists in Business Week’s America’s Best Young Entrepreneurs contest.

Let’s show them some BYE support and vote for them early and often!

The boys started Emergent Group at Tufts University, consulting with local businesses and municipalities as they move toward more sustainable practices. They’ve already achieved a lot, and the future is even brighter.

Look for Emergent in the near future as a presenter to the BYE group.

Becca Schulman presented her business, Papa Products in June. Here is her write up of the experience:

Presenting at the June Boston Young Entrepreneurs meeting was a tremendously useful experience for our company. It was our first public presentation on Papa Products (since we’d only launched a few weeks before the session), and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I knew that BYE members were savvy and creative, but I didn’t know if they would connect to our mission of creating easy and practical solutions for modern dads and moms. I didn’t need to worry, as attendees had a wealth of ideas, connections and suggestions to share, regardless of their own personal experience as parents or with young children.

On October 20th, Boston Young Entrepreneurs brings you the October Main Event!

Come see Matt Webster present his business plan for Drink a Better Brew.

Matt will tell us how he built Drink a Better Brew on the idea that craft beer can be viewed in the same light as fine wines, scotches and vodkas. Matt’s educational offerings help those of us who love beer to understand and develop our tastes and the ways that our favorite brews can pair with food. Matt’s company aims to expose restauranteurs, bar owners and liquor store owners to craft beers

We’re also excited to tell you that we’re moving to a new location, at least for this month. Join us as we experience WorkBar for the first time!

WorkBar is co-working and shared office space on the gym membership model. It could be a good solution for many of you working out of your homes.
