Rob Pyles in his natural habitatBoston Young Entrepreneurs’ great strength lies in its function as a conduit of expertise, advice and information among entrepreneurs. We’re doing our best to bring that to you on the web as well, so check out our first two book recommendations ever!

From esteemed BYE Board Member and Founder of Audissey Guides, Rob Pyles:

Four Hour Workweek:
Any business book that’s hilarious automatically gets points with me. This is a pretty revolutionary book that helps you to: a) focus your energy on what’s important in your business and your life b) eliminate the stupid meaningless tasks that fill up your day, and c) live a life worth living. Even if you’re not a business person or entrepreneur, this is still a fascinating read by a very smart person.

E-Myth:
This book tells you how to avoid the deadly trap that so many entrepreneurs fall victim to: doing everything in your business! It helps you step back and work more “on” your business and less “in” your business. Remove yourself from the equation, find talented people to hire, and create a smoothly oiled machine. Your job is to run the business and grow the business - this book helps you learn how.
