ONEin3 Boston

Mayor Thomas M. Menino founded the ONEin3 Boston initiative in 2004 in order to support Boston’s 200,000 20-34 year-olds and make their lives in Boston more fulfilling professionally, civically and socially. We are a program of the Boston Redevelopment Authority.

ONEin3 Boston is composed of four programs:

The ONEin3 Boston Mayor’s Advisory Council is a body of 34 young people who advise Mayor Menino on key areas of policy and programming, including Housing, Young Families, Social and Cultural Life, Civic Engagement and Jobs and Careers.

The Boston Young Entrepreneurs program offers budding business owners peer support, guidance and education.

ONEin3 Neighborhood Groups offer 20-34 year-olds with opportunities for civic and social engagement in their communities. They connect ONEin3ers to their young neighbors at Neighborhood Nights, provide forums to discuss neighborhood issues, and connect young people with volunteer opportunities.

ONEin3 Money provides young Bostonians with financial health advice and budgeting support. In partnership with Mint.com, ONEin3 Money offers access to the Mint budgeting tool as well as consistent blog content focused on helping young people get out of debt and establish themselves and their financial futures. ONEin3 Money also offers monthly financial advice workshops with NECN contributor Jennifer Lane.
